NC1-List
The One North Carolina Naturally email list provides a communication tool for building partnerships through the exchange of conservation information and opportunities in North Carolina. If you need up-to-date information on conservation workshops, meetings, grants, jobs, and success stories, join NC1-List.
NC1-List is a listserv that allows members to post information that is read by hundreds of other conservation professionals. The list is open to anyone with an interest in natural resource conservation activities, and has many members who work for government agencies, land trusts, universities, and volunteer organizations.
Information provided through NC1-List should focus on efforts to:
- Conserve natural areas for future generations,
- Support stewardship of working farms and forests,
- Protect and restore coastal habitats,
- Inform conservation actions of conservation agencies and organizations, and
- Guide compatible land use planning.
ClimateChange.NC
The ClimateChange.NC e-mail list provides a communication tool for building partnerships through the exchange of climate change information and opportunities in North Carolina. If you need up-to-date information on climate change-related workshops, meetings, grants, jobs, and success stories, join ClimateChange.NC.
ClimateChange.NC is a listserv that allows members to post information that is read by hundreds of professionals engaged in climate change mitigation and adaptation activities. The list is open to anyone with an interest in climate change mitigation and adaptation activities, and has members who work for government agencies, universities, and environmental organizations.
Information provided through ClimateChange.NC should focus on efforts to:
- Reduce greenhouse gas contributions to climate change (mitigate).
- Proactively prepare for and adapt to changes we can’t prevent (adapt).
- Use both mitigation and adaptation strategies to reduce vulnerability, increase adaptive capacity and improve resiliency of climate-sensitive resources.
- Educate about the projected climate change impacts and adaptation strategies that can build our state’s resilience.
- Coordinate climate strategies among natural resources, transportation, land use, economic development, emergency management, infrastructure, health, cultural resources, insurance, and tourism sectors.
