Stewardship Program Monitoring Process

Annual monitoring is recommended by the Internal Revenue Service. The state of North Carolina plans to follow IRS recommendations.

To accomplish this goal, the Stewardship Program will partner with local conservation entities such as Soil and Water Conservation Districts and land trusts. These partners conduct site visits and complete monitoring reports, as detailed here:

Monitoring Reports

An online reporting system is being developed to facilitate communication between DENR and our partners. Until that system is placed in production, current forms to be used in the monitoring process can be downloaded below.

• Stewardship monitoring report
• Invoice for stewardship monitoring

NOTE:

1. Save these blank forms as templates (.dot).
2. Save the completed forms as documents (.doc) with SPO File Number in the title, e.g. 101-010.101 Report.doc.
3. Send the completed forms as attachments to the Stewardship Program administrator.
