Climate Impacts on North Carolina Sectors

The projected threats from climate change are expected to have significant impacts on our state’s:

• Coastal resources
• Transportation and other infrastructure
• Water supplies
• Agriculture
• Natural systems
• Public health
  

Because these threats could have significant impacts on our state, North Carolina leaders are considering how our state can reduce its vulnerability and enhance its resilience.

The N.C. Department of Environment and Natural Resources is coordinating strategies with other local, state, federal and nongovernmental partners. Together we will work to develop a focused approach to address climate change policy actions at state, regional and federal levels.
